Description: A Consortium of Hyderabad-based IT company Value Labs, Malayasian broadcaster Astro and NDTV News, a subsidiary of NDTV, has announced acquisition of Radio Today (Mumbai) Broadcasting Ltd, Radio Today (Delhi) Broadcasting Ltd and Radio Today (Calcutta) from Living Media Group. The three Radio Today companies hold licenses for broadcasting FM Radio in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata respectively, operating under the brand name Red FM. Astro is believed to have taken
20% stake that is the maximum limit of foreign investment in FM Radio. A similar stake has been given to NDTV, while Value Labs is the majority stake holder in the consortium.
